CD Review: READY TO SAIL, The Erwins

The Erwins were pretty much singing by the time they could talk. It didn’t take long for the young people to capture the hearts of people across America as well as the attention of the music industry. With a delightfully fresh, smooth sound and tight family harmony, the Erwins released READY TO SAIL February 3, 2015.

The project, produced by StowTown Records, is simply amazing on many levels. I can’t say I’m surprised. StowTown is consistent in producing great vocals, great songs, and great music to the highest level of excellence.

READY TO SAIL captures the beauty of what these young folks are capable of vocally and arms them with a powerful message to share. The message is written by a power-house team of songwriters including Joel Lindsey, Sue C. Smith, Wayne Haun, Val Dacus, Rachel McCutcheon and more. The styles vary from straight-up southern gospel ballads, to up-beat songs to a little subtle jazz, but will please people of all ages.

My favorites are, “Power In Prayer,” “The Burden Of Loving Me,” and “Believe Him.” READY TO SAIL is bound to launch the Erwins into the deepest waters they’ve known and will take them to new places!
