CD Review: THE THOUGHT OF CHRISTMAS, Tribute Quartet

Share

Tribute Quartet has turned heads lately with a string of successes. Recently, they took their musical excellence and combined it with personality and thoughts of Christmas and then added the expertise of producer, Roger Talley. The result: A Christmas album guaranteed to lift the spirit!

Being that Tribute is blessed with 4 outstanding vocalists, the lead melodies are disbursed among the group members adding the element of surprise, along with spice and variety to the album. The accompaniment is true to the spirit of Christmas complete with sounds of full orchestration, angelic choirs and at times, jingle bells!

The album features familiar songs and carols such as “Silent Night,” and “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas,” as well as fun tunes like “Come On Ring Those Bells,” and “Jesus What A Wonderful Child.” Songs that tell the story and capture the tenderness of Christ’s birth is also included. Riley Harrison Clark’s performance of “Mary Did You Know” absolutely deserves a standing ovation.

Overall? Outstanding.
